Awesome, I was referred to lance by a very close friend who used him to install all their new windows. About 8 months I hired a freelancer installer and regret not hiring a window company in the first place. He had used the wrong caulk and didn’t anchor any of the windows so it didn’t take long for the windows to shift and start cracking away from the interior drywall. This caused an eyesore and also made our new “energy efficient” windows to become very inefficient I could feel cold air coming in during winter and hot air coming in during summer. This job was done in a few hours and I now feel confident that my windows are not going to fall out or cause any further damage to the interior walls.

The job went very well. Lance went the extra mile and saved us the glass panel from the sliding glass door so we may be able to reinstall it when we don’t need the doggie door anymore.

I highly recommend Lance Burns of SOS (Superior Opening Solutions) for any window or door purchases and installation you need! We have used his service since Dec 2013. We renovated a vacation rental house, which had bedrooms that faced a busy road, and he advised us on the best affordable sound-proof windows to use. We’ve never had an unhappy renter; it’s a 5-star property! Later he also helped us by recommending and installing energy-efficient windows throughout the rest of the house. Knowing it was for a rental, he helped us stay within budget and gave us very fair prices. Those windows worked so well, the next year we had him completely redo all of our home’s windows and our guesthouse’s (over time). Now it’s 2 years later and we are currently doing a major remodel at our own home and we again turned to Lance. He has provided professional input on what our purchase options were, which he recommended and why. Just this month he has installed new double front doors for us, even helping me select the hardware, which I had a hard time doing, and I love his choice! He’s installed a huge sliding glass door, another huge custom window and a modern, very functional, kitchen door, always keeping in mind our best interests and advising what type of glass we would need to maximize natural light, but minimize heat. We have him lined up for another project for May 2017 already. A big picture window at another rental house, which he advised needed to be tempered glass because of its close proximity to the front door.
